There's so much to this game to love here, from character design, both Ase and the surreal looking enemies, the music, and overall game play, it's all ready damn solid. Chaining together Magnet Punches or jumping out of them felt extremely satisfying. The environments themselves were also rather captivating, I found myself really engaging with the areas I was in (the new ad campaign gag was pretty humorous too). I only really have two complaints, the first being that there's no coyote time implemented (or I suppose in this case it would be jerboa time), and it's not immediately obvious the water is rising at the end (which could probably be better signified by a simple screen shake). You can also clip out of the first area after the tutorial room by going backwards. With all that said though, these really weren't enough to take me out of the game, I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Coyote time is in there, at least I remember it being in there, but it might be a little subtle

The simplistic graphics are charming and I think the phasing through solid obstacles is a really cool mechanic. I think it'd be neat to have the phase mechanic tied to having the hat on, but it's not my game, so do as you please

Oeh yea that used to be a feature actually! I eventually cut it to have the levels flow a bit better though, but I can definitely understand the interest in that.

The background not being the same pixel size as the other objects is a lil jarring and i wish you could jump onto obstacles and still keep going, but for a first game, it's not half bad.

Thanks for playing and for the tips

Sometimes I do stuff, sometimes I don't.
